If driving at night this is where the street lights end. The Great Wall stretches in an unbroken line on your left. Unusually for a Cumbrian dry stone wall, it is fitted with reflective amber cat's-eyes. The Conishead Priory entrance is at the far end of the Wall.
This is the entrance to Conishead Priory. Please drive slowly, the lane is narrow and the speed bumps have attitude.
For Bardsea take the next fork to the right. A 20 mph speed limit is in force in the village. For Baycliffe, Aldingham, Rampside and Roa Island keep straight on along the main road.
