Approaching Ulverston from the East

Most visitors enter Ulverston from the east via the A590 from Lancaster and the M6.  This photographic guide gives directions through the town and its one way system to the car parks, and also shows the road junctions for Glaxo and the industrial area, Canal Foot, Conishead Priory (Manjushri Centre), Bardsea, Baycliffe, Aldingham, Rampside, Roa Island, Broughton, Millom and West Cumbria.

This is the approach to Ulverston along the A590

These two signposts follow in quick succession but actually refer to the same road, which is the next left, the A5087 Coast Road to the Leisure Complex, Conishead Priory (Manjushri Centre), Bardsea, Baycliffe, Aldingham, Rampside and Roa Island.  Drivers of high vehicles please note the height restriction.
